Description

These beautiful Mexican cushions, also called "Tenangos" are embroidered by the expert hands of the Mexican tribes, the "Otomi". These are women's groups that continue the tradition of this people from the central plateau of Mexico for decades.

This embroidery appeared after the passage of a serious economic crisis in the 1960s when this people was forced to find new ways to revive trade.

The women had the idea of ​​embroidering scenes of everyday life (marriage, carnival), sacred rites where animals sometimes imaginary and mystical mingling with reality according to the inspiration of the embroiderer.
